project 2 idea
My project 2 idea is a virtual scavenger hunt of interesting, somewhat recognizable art pieces. I want to explore how people move the mouse around the page and break away from any traditional page layout. I will try to have hidden paintings that you can reveal when hovered over and when clicked lead to a new page that forces you to keep searching for the painting. There will be multiple slivers of paintings on each page to make loops back to the homepage if you don't chose the same painting as the previous page.

PLEASE ANSWER AS A COMMENT - Include the names of your whole team
With your "Design and Production Team" spend some time visiting the site Havidol by artist Justine Cooper. What do you think the artist's goals are when she created this? What issues does she want people to think about?

My project 2 idea is going to be about the game of basketball. I am going to show a basketball court and I will describe each position played on the court. My purpose is to inform the audience on different positions in the game of basketball.
My project is an appreciation for Oscar Wilde's A Picture of Dorian Gray.
"The world is changed because you are made of ivory and gold. The curves of your lips rewrite history." kicks off the narrative. With it being my favorite quote, I went back to the novel and searched for the keyword "ivory."
It most definitely has a non-linear story line and most of the pages probably won't really make sense to anyone.
Nevertheless, I really love Wilde's diction and the novel is all about art, beauty and the nature of influence.
A lot of the elements in my story book relates back to Wilde and almost every little detail means something.

I wanted to do a story that's based on repetition, not so much having to go through the same things over and over to progress, but rather something that the viewer can loop back through once they finish one iteration of the story and go back through with a different path to get a different ending. I want a story that has the ability to be read more than once.
It will be something related to circles most likely, possibly in the design, or the elements that make up the story. I'm not completely sure yet.

My idea is to create an interactive narrative. The viewer is introduced with a story, and then they must choose how to proceed. After this, they are taken to a final page to discover the result of their choice.
Basically, viewers approach a statue and must give it an offering, choosing from 6 different items. If the viewer chooses the right objects to offer to the statue, it will give them a vision of their "downfall." They will see an image that can be interpreted as either the way they will die or their fatal flaw— their hamartia.
I've been working on an idea for the final pages that makes it a little more interactive than just a final screen, but it's still an experiment.
The mood is supposed to be sort of dark and eerie. I want to immerse the viewer in the website and make them think about what their "downfall" means beyond its face.
Below is part of the image I've created for the statue. It is supposed to be very mysterious (this effect will hopefully be helped with the backstory).

My project 2 is going to be about D.B. Cooper crime. I always fine unsolved crimes interesting, as there is still so much in question. I want to leave the answer up to the view of what they thought happen, so I will only illustrate facts and evidence already known, and will not give my own thoughts of what happened. I would like the pages to reflect that it is an old cold case. My idea was to have a background as a folder and have it open to each new page, but I am not sure how to even go about that. The pages will show age though, in some way.
(The picture provided is a sketch of what D.B. Cooper could have looked like. It will not be in my final project however, since it is a pre-existing illustration.)
