My idea is to create an interactive narrative. The viewer is introduced with a story, and then they must choose how to proceed. After this, they are taken to a final page to discover the result of their choice.

Basically, viewers approach a statue and must give it an offering, choosing from 6 different items. If the viewer chooses the right objects to offer to the statue, it will give them a vision of their "downfall." They will see an image that can be interpreted as either the way they will die or their fatal flaw— their hamartia.

I've been working on an idea for the final pages that makes it a little more interactive than just a final screen, but it's still an experiment.

The mood is supposed to be sort of dark and eerie. I want to immerse the viewer in the website and make them think about what their "downfall" means beyond its face.

Below is part of the image I've created for the statue. It is supposed to be very mysterious (this effect will hopefully be helped with the backstory).

  1. This sounds like a lot of pages, but if you finish it, will be really cool!

  2. This idea is really cool. I was thinking about doing something like this but decided to go with something else. Can't wait to see how it actually all turns out.
Cool image you are working on

  3. Perhaps you could create a linear sequence leading up to seeing the statue, which then changes to the option:result experience you're describing.
